CRAVING MORE MARVEL ZOMBIES? CHECK OUT THIS DYNAMITE PREVIEW!!! Dynamite Presents Four Pages of the Upcoming Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness #2

March 5th, 2007, Runnemede, NJ - Marvel Entertainment and Dynamite Entertainment today are releasing a special preview of Marvel Zombies vs. The Army of Darkness #2- the crossover event of '07!!!

The preview is being released as Marvel Zombies vs. The Army of Darkness #1 is in stores Wednesday March 7th! Marvel Zombies vs. The Army of Darkness is a Five-Issue Limited Series that will serve as a direct prequel to last year's smash Marvel Zombies series which featured "dynamite" covers by Arthur Suydam, crisp scripts by Robert Kirkman and fantastic art by Sean Philips and colorist June Chung! Marvel Zombies followed the events in Mark Millar's and Greg Land's Ultimate Fantastic Four #24. With the success retailers have had with Marvel Zombies (both the series, the Hard Cover collection going to multiple printings and the Ultimate FF appearances), and the sell out of Army of Darkness #13, retailers are asked to double check their orders for #2 (DCD Item # FEB07 2137) to ensure having enough when the book is in stores.

DYNAMITE stated: "When we took our first peek at Fabiano's pages for issue #2, our undead-o-meter went through the roof!!! Check it out… A splash page of zombie Avengers! The Punisher against a mass of undead villains! Old school disco-style Dazzler teaming up with Ash (well, there's a bright side, Ash!) And who is that unlucky devil being eaten by a zombie Howard the Duck!?! We can't say, as that would spoil it, but you will want to check it out! And that's just in these four pages! The creative team on Marvel Zombies vs. AOD is having a blast with the series as they get to show fans how all their favorite Marvel heroes and villains became part of the undead flock of Earth-2149. Our good friends at Marvel have been great to work with, and the whole collaboration has been amazing (well, Ash may not agree, but he did get to meet Dazzler.) And as always, stay tuned, True Believers, we've got a few more tricks and treats up our sleeves in 2007."

The series is bringing the best of the best with the old and the new. Featuring covers in the Marvel Zombie tradition by Arthur Suydam (and wait till you see the way Arthur incorporates Ash in to each "new" classic image), this landmark event is written by "jammin" John Layman (Xena; Red Sonja) with interior art by Fabiano Neves (Xena) and magnificent coloring by June Chung (Marvel Zombies). And of course, the spiritual guru of the undead himself, Robert Kirkman will be acting as a special consultant on the whole series.

"Ash meeting the Marvel Zombies is a stroke of genius (and not just in terms of marketing). The first issue is ghoulish fun, and Ash's over-the-top nature makes him the perfect POV character for a super-idealized world turned upside-down. By the end of the first issues, we're essentially left with two questions: who gets the chainsaw first, and yes, who wants some?"-- Troy Brownfield, Newsarama.com

Marvel Zombies vs. The Army of Darkness is scheduled for a March release, and will take the place of the regular AOD series, which will be on hiatus while the crossover mini-series takes place (hey, Ash is in Marvel Zombie world, what would we do the series about? Evil Ash?... Hey, wait a minute, we'll get back to you on that). Issue #13 of Army of Darkness is in stores now (if you're lucky), but hey, we're talking about Marvel Zombies vs. The Army of Darkness here, so check out the cover by this incredible preview- it ROCKS!
