PAINKILLER JANE’S BACK! Painkiller Jane #0 Reunites Original Creative Team of Quesada, Palmiotti and Moder -- All for a Quarter!

January 30, 2007, Runnemede, NJ – Dynamite Entertainment today released images and information announcing the debut of an all-new Joe Quesada and Jimmy Palmiotti’s Painkiller Jane series, kicking off with Painkiller Jane #0, which is being offered at a special introductory price of just $.25.

Featuring the title character of the SCI-FI Channel’s upcoming Painkiller Jane television series, this specially priced introductory issue will lead directly into Jane's new comic series due out this Spring and will also introduce a brand new character!

Scheduled for an April release, Painkiller Jane #0 features a story from Jane creators Joe Quesada and Jimmy Palmiotti and is written by Palmiotti with interior art by returning Painkiller Jane artist Lee Moder. Issue #0 will be available with covers by Lee Moder and Ron Adrian, as well as retailer incentives including a 1/100 RRP edition and a 1/1000 “sneak peak” edition featuring a top secret look at cover art from issue #1! Dynamite is planning to release PKJ #0 in time for Free Comic Book Day, so Direct Market Retailers can take advantage of that promotion and the special price to introduce new readers to Painkiller Jane.

“Jane is one of my favorite characters, and with this new series we are going to take her places she has never been before,” said Palmiotti. “The greatest thing about writing Painkiller Jane now is that, with working on the show and the book at the same time, it’s giving me a unique opportunity to build on the character and take Jane to a more mature audience than she has ever had before. I really am excited!”

Painkiller Jane has starred in numerous cross-over titles with the likes of The Punisher, Vampirella, and Hellboy. In April, she will star in a new SCI-FI television series with Kristanna Loken of Terminator 3 fame starring as Jane Vasko.

PAINKILLER JANE #0 (FEB073317) WRITTEN BY JIMMY PALMIOTTI; ART BY LEE MODER; COVERS BY RON ADRIAN AND LEE MODER

And Dynamite is bringing her to you in the most affordable form possible - as an introductory priced quarter book - to both reward existing fans and introduce a larger audience to the world of Painkiller Jane!

From last year's debut to the release of the classic Painkiller Jane material, everyone's talking about Jane! Now, the creative team is reunited - Jimmy Palmiotti, Joe Quesada and Lee Moder - for a specially priced introductory issue that leads directly into Jane's new series this Spring - all for just one thin quarter!
